Patient’s headaches were diagnosed as migraines by the neurologist.

Previous Investigations/Treatments

The patient had seen the neurologist in the past who investigated her with CT scan of the brain and this was reported as normal.

The patient tried various medications including prophylactic drugs like Propranolol, Gabapentin, Amitriptyline and Topiramate without benefit. The patient was taking oral analgesics including Paracetamol, Codeine Phosphate and Sumatriptan to control the headaches.

Treatment from DR. Krishna at Pain Spa

The patient saw Dr. Krishna at his private clinic in Bristol, desperate for some control of her migraine headaches. Dr. Krishna confirmed the diagnosis of migraine and offered treatment with Botox as per NICE protocol.

Outcome

The patient had an excellent response to Botox treatment, with a significant reduction in frequency as well as the intensity of her headaches. The patient had a repeat treatment after 4 months with a similar response. The patient managed to reduce the intake of oral analgesics significantly following treatment with Botox.
